Group Financial Controller

Lindab is a dynamic company on an exciting journey. As Group Financial Controller you will play an important part in the development of the finance function in a listed company with a high rate of change, as the company has a strong acquisition strategy. You will be part of a highly skilled and collaborative team that continuously works to improve reporting processes and support the organization in financial matters related to IFRS and group accounting.

As Group Financial Controller at Lindab Group, you will play a key role in the Group Accounting function and assist in driving accounting accuracy, efficiency and controls. The function is working for consolidated accounts and to act as a Finance business partner to the subsidiaries’ finance functions, local and regional controllers, and assist them in reporting, compliance of policies and requirements.

The role will also work with creating more efficient procedures and in the development of corporate financial processes. Lindab grows, both organically and through acquisitions, and the need for automation, standarization and digitalization will increase even further. The position will report to the Group Financial Manager and be part of an engaged finance team. The position is located at Lindabs´s office in Malmö or in Grevie, Bjärehalvön.

 

Your responsibilities (but not limited to):

 

  • Participate and support in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings for the group.
  • Process and coordinate financial closings, support group consolidation, monitor and review group reporting and control timely execution.
  • Provide guidance to finance teams in subsidiaries, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and principles including driving accounting accuracy, efficiency and controls.
  • Follow-up and analyze group consolidated figures, prepare Management reporting and provide financial support.
  • Propose and drive optimization in closing processes.
  • Support financial onboarding of the acquired units, requirements for new subsidiaries in financial closing and accounting areas and actively participate in finance integration of M&A activities.
  • You will work on financial excellence projects, e.g. continuously optimize processes for efficiency.

 

Your profile

 

To be successful in this role, you have a deep understanding, interest and experience in group accounting. Lindab has a large complex group structure, is a listed company and with an acquisition intensive environment. Experience and understanding of similar structures will therefor be highly valued.

 

You probably also have:

 

  • university degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field
  • approximately 3-5 five years of relevant experience, ideally starting your career in an audit firm.
  • excellent Microsoft Excel skills and is IT literate.
  • knowledge of Cognos (advantage) or similar group consolidation systems Fluency in Swedish and English is required.
